Rampage - Synopsis:
Rampage, directed by Brad Peyton, is a thrilling action-adventure movie that revolves around three different animals that become infected with a dangerous pathogen. The story begins when a geneticist, Dr. Kate Caldwell (Naomie Harris), finds out that her experiment with a pathogen capable of editing genes has been stolen. The pathogen lands in the hands of a greedy corporation, Energyne, run by Claire Wyden (Malin Akerman) and her brother Brett Wyden (Jake Lacy), who intend to use it for their selfish motives.
The pathogen is first tested on a rare albino gorilla named George (Jason Liles), who is under the care of a primatologist, Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson). The pathogen turns George into a violent and aggressive creature, causing him to grow to an enormous size. George's transformation catches the attention of the military, who capture him and take him to their facility.
However, things take a dangerous turn when two other animals, a wolf and a crocodile, are also infected with the pathogen. The trio begins to grow and mutate into enormous, violent beasts that start wreaking havoc in Chicago. The city is in chaos as the animals rampage through the streets, causing destruction and chaos wherever they go.
Davis, with the help of Dr. Caldwell, teams up with a government agent, Harvey Russell (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), to try and stop the animals from destroying the city. They race against time to find a cure for the pathogen and to stop the monsters before it's too late.
The movie features breathtaking visuals and adrenaline-fueled action scenes that keep the audience on the edge of their seats. The chemistry between Dwayne Johnson and Naomie Harris is excellent, and the addition of Jeffrey Dean Morgan adds an extra layer of humor to the film. The three monsters are truly terrifying and are sure to send shivers down your spine.
Rampage is an action-packed, high-octane film that delivers on all fronts. It has everything you could want from a monster movie: action, humor, and heart. If you're a fan of the genre, this movie is a must-see.
