John Wick: Chapter 2. Directed by Chad Stahelski. After returning to the criminal underworld to repay a debt, John Wick discovers that a large bounty has been put on his life. This movie is the second installment in the John Wick franchise and picks up where the first movie left off.
The movie opens with John Wick (Keanu Reeves) attempting to retrieve his stolen car from a Russian mob boss, Viggo Tarasov (Michael Nyqvist). After a brutal fight, Wick kills Tarasov and returns home, intending to retire from his life as an assassin.
However, Wick's peaceful retirement is short-lived when Santino D'Antonio (Riccardo Scamarcio), an Italian crime lord, visits him to call in a marker. Wick owes D'Antonio a debt that he can't refuse, and D'Antonio orders him to assassinate his sister, Gianna (Claudia Gerini), so that he can take her place on the High Table, a council of crime lords.
Despite his reluctance, Wick travels to Rome to fulfill the job. However, he decides not to kill Gianna, causing D'Antonio to put a $7 million bounty on Wick's head. Wick is forced to fight his way out of Rome and back to New York City, where he faces off against an army of assassins hired to kill him.
Along the way, Wick receives help from fellow assassin, Cassian (Common), who has a personal vendetta against him. Wick also seeks the aid of the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne), a leader of the city's homeless population, who provides him with weapons and information about his enemies.
The movie culminates in a final showdown between Wick and D'Antonio, with Wick emerging victorious but still being hunted by the High Table. The movie ends with Wick running through the streets of New York, preparing for the inevitable fight to come.
