Jumper - Synopsis:
Jumper, directed by Doug Liman, is an action-packed science fiction film that follows the story of a young man with the ability to teleport. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Steven Gould and stars Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson, and Rachel Bilson.
The story follows David Rice (Hayden Christensen), a teenager with the extraordinary ability to teleport to any place he can visualize in his mind. David discovers his powers at a young age and uses them to escape his troubled home life and explore the world. He soon realizes he is not alone in possessing this power and that there are others like him, known as Jumpers.
As David begins to explore his abilities, he is chased by a mysterious group of people called Paladins, sworn to destroy all Jumpers. Led by the ruthless Roland Cox (Samuel L. Jackson), the Paladins believe that Jumpers are an abomination that must be eliminated.
David meets Griffin (Jamie Bell), another Jumper, who shows him the ropes and explains the history of their kind.
