The Chronicles of Riddick - Synopsis:
The Chronicles of Riddick, directed by David Twohy, is a science-fiction action film that was released in 2004. It is the sequel to the 2000 film Pitch Black and features Vin Diesel as the titular character, Richard Bruno Riddick.
The movie begins with Riddick being hunted by mercenaries for the bounty on his head. He manages to escape and heads to the planet Helion Prime, where he learns about a powerful and dangerous empire known as the Necromongers. The Necromongers are an army of religious zealots who are on a mission to conquer the universe and convert or kill all humans in their path.
Riddick soon finds himself in the middle of a battle between the Necromongers and the people of Helion Prime. He is recruited by Aereon, an elemental being who is an ambassador for the "Elemental Race", to help stop the Necromongers. Riddick also discovers that he is the only one who can stop the Lord Marshal, the leader of the Necromongers, from carrying out his evil plans.
